- In GM, General Motors

If you have been paying attention to the news lately, then you probably know that GM last year was down the toilet and they actually had to take out a loan from the U.S government. Well, I can tell you for sure that, that loan was just that a … loan and the government is expecting payment and GM is coming through!
Payments are being made constantly and with the first quarter of the year coming to a close, GM is paying $192 million to Canada and of course one billion back to the United States. Another installment should be given on March 31st as well.
Personally, I think that GM is doing something good right now. They are getting things done and making up for their debts.

Now that we have talked a little bit about the prices of gas, let’s talk about what these prices actually mean. Honestly, the price of gas right now is extremely high yet people do not seem to care because they are used to it … which is weird right? Back in the day, gas prices were right around a dollar and now they are well past two dollars and even up to almost three dollars.
The sad thing is the fact that hybrids and other electric cars sales are not even picking up – to me, that is something that strikes me as odd. To be perfectly honest, why not buy a brand new hybrid or even a more fuel efficient car in order to save some money on gas?
The reason – I personally think is because people do not want to change their ways and they are scare of hybrids.

Alright, now that we have talked a little bit about what Ford is planning on doing, let’s go ahead and move on into the thick of things regarding the actual buyout. If you have at least one year of experience, you can take a payout of $50,000 dollars plus a new car voucher worth about $25,000 or you can just take an additional cash payment of about $20,000.
If you are of retirement age, you can take your pension plus the $25,000 new car voucher or the cash payment. Finally, if you are a skilled-trade worker, you can take a $40,000 payout plus your pension.
The workers who are going to accept the buyout will need to leave sometime in February of 2010 and any new hires will start then … at a wage of about $14.00 per hour.

Ford – oh Ford, you survived the recession and now … even though you are doing really good on the forefront of your sales, you have decided that you are going to reduce your employees and offer them a buyout. The point? Well, they have a surplus of employees and are looking to get the unionized employees out and hire in some non-unionized employees.
Is this a smart business decision? Well of course it is – the new wage for the new hires would be half of what the old wage is, however how many people are actually going to take the buy out?
In the next blog, we will explore exactly what Ford is offering up to these folks. You do not want to miss this one!

When it comes to the 2010 Chevy Spark, it has been a battle between on and off for this particular car being released in the states. Well, I can tell you that right now – the 2010 Chevy Spark is actually on to be released in the United States and while that might not stick – right now, I am proud to say that the 2010 Chevy Spark will be released in the states.
This mini-car is can go up to about 47 MPG, which for me – is fantastic! It has a 1.0-liter, four-cylinder engine and can get about 78HP. This particular car is also extremely small and almost looks European – which for me is awesome. I think that anything that looks European is incredible and all around cool!
While the 2010 Chevy Spark is not going to be built in the US, it is certainly going to be shipped and sold here – as of right now at least.

So far – we have really only explored the 2011 Bentley Mulsanne in a champagne type of color, however it is not my first choice at all. At the Frankfurt Motor Show, the 2011 Bentley Mulsanne was shown off in blue and I personally think that it looks amazing! Not only does this particular shade of blue look incredible, but overall, I think that the 2011 Bentley Mulsanne looks expensive.
To me, Bentley is a brand that screams money and this is certainly the car that fits right in. The beautiful 2011 Bentley Mulsanne is not only hot – but it also looks fantastic on the inside, which is weird. Most cars – which look fierce on the outside, look just okay on the inside.
However, don’t let the outside fool you, this car is certainly the best under the hood and seriously … it rocks!

When you think of Toyota – what is usually the first thing that you think about? Well, I usually think about quality, however – if you got yourself a brand new Toyota car that was China-made, you want to definitely return it. The reason? The door panel has definitely melted is the reason. While it is not your fault, if they are recalling all of the Toyota Camry’s that were China-made because of this problem, you should definitely return it!
While the fact that they are going to fix the problem for free might be great news for you, it is not for Toyota, for the customer service is already something that has went downhill, if they are skimping on quality as well and having to recall cars – it does not look good for this Japanese automaker.
The reason that the door panels melt is caused by excessive lubrication that was used during manufacturing, which can cause overheating and eventually melting.

Just a short time ago, the VW chairman Ferdinand Piech was very interested in procuring a very small stake in Suzuki. While those rumors were denied by Suzuki, the rumors are once against surfacing again and the German magazine Manager Magazin, is actually the one that seems to have the inside scoop. It looks like Suzuki is actually thinking about going with a joint venture on a few models with VW, which is something I am very excited about.
The main reasons for the joint is because Suzuki is very fond of producing compact cars and as we all know, Volkswagen is the leader for small cars, with them remaking the VW Bug, so to me? This is a partnership made in heaven! Of course, there have been a lot of talks and conversations between the two automakers, nothing is finalized just yet.
However, the VW did go into a partnership with Porsche, so that could definitely secure them a spot for a partnership with Suzuki as well!

My first car – it was a Nissan and I have to say that I absolutely love the brand. While VW is my favorite brand, I have actually owned and driven a Nissan around and it was by far the best car that I have ever had – it lasted so long! Now, Nissan is still kicking and coming out with not only some of the coolest looking cars but also coming out with a car that is completely electric! The 2010 Nissan Leaf EV is the next generation that Nissan is going and it looks hot.
Besides its hot exterior, the 2010 Nissan Leaf EV is actually one car that is completely eco-friendly and actually runs completely off of electricity. While right now, the 2010 Nissan Leaf EV is not out – it will be, they are actually going to release 1,000 different 2010 Nissan Leaf EV to different markets and see how to sales go. If they go well, it will be released to the rest of the world.
The 2010 Nissan Leaf EV in my opinion is going to change the world and truly make Nissan one of the top car brands again – which is something that I’ve been waiting for!
